Invitation to Co-Founders
What We Seek in Co-Founders
We are seeking individuals who:
- Deeply believe humanity can overcome existential challenges through cooperation
- Are willing to invest 2 hours a week of his/her time
- Think systemically about resilient communities and economic alternatives
- Act with urgency while building for the long term
- Believe in human goodness even when confronted with human flaws
- Bring complementary skills in community building, economic development, education, resource mobilization, technology, operations, finance, or systems thinking
The Co-Founder Commitment (Until We Are Established)
As a co-founder, you would:
- Help shape the foundation’s strategy, structure, governance, and first programs
- Commit a minimum of 2 hours per week to move the work forward (meetings and/or assigned tasks)
- Join a biweekly 60-minute Co-Founders meeting until we are established
- Take ownership of agreed responsibilities between meetings and deliver them reliably
- Invest resources (financial, network, expertise) commensurate with your capacity
- Help build our first pilot working group initiatives (community + self-employment programs)
- Assist in raising awareness and resources through your networks
- Model the values we espouse—community involvement, economic self-reliance where possible, and communal & collaborative problem-solving

Invitation to Members
FOR WORKING GROUPS & GENERAL COMMUNITY MEETINGS
For Those Who Can’t Commit Right Now—But Want to Join After We’re Established
Not everyone can allocate active time during the setup phase—and that’s okay. We also welcome members who want to become involved after the foundation is established, by joining:
- A Working Group that meets every two weeks, and
- Our General Group Meeting held once per month
Working Groups will focus on building and improving specific initiatives—such as cooperative income models, community training programs, local resilience projects, and “For Human by Human” coop-tech alternatives.
Your Participation Commitment (After Establishment)
As a Working Group / General Member, you would:
- Participate consistently in your selected biweekly Working Group, and the monthly General Meeting
- Contribute ideas, feedback, and expertise in a practical, action-oriented way
- Support pilot projects as they launch (testing, outreach, coordination, introductions, etc.)
- Help strengthen the community through real human connection and collaboration
