What We Do
Prosper Foundation operates as a platform for initiatives, not a single program.
FOCUS AREAS
- Build flourishing local communities through training, resources, and frameworks that help people create vital, resilient, and prosperous community networks
- Provide pathways to self-employment through education, mentorship, and economic tools that free people from dependency on fragile employment systems
- Create coop-tech platforms mostly worker owned co-op like alternative to “late stage capitalist extractive gig economy platforms” (Uber, Foodora, AirBnB etc). These platforms will be “For Human by Human” by design—built to protect worker dignity, human relationships, and real community value creation (not extraction).
A worker-owned ride-hailing cooperative might be the first foundational initiative, especially considering that driving occupations are among the most vulnerable to automation. As autonomous vehicle technology matures, nearly five million American workers in this sector face the prospect of displacement within the coming half-decade.
- Pool collective resources (financial, intellectual, and human capital) to fund and execute solutions to critical survival challenges
- Restore faith in humanity by creating visible proof that compassion, cooperation, and human dignity can triumph over chaos and division
- Create safety nets that function when traditional institutions and systems falter or fail
- Build and promote “For Human by Human” models—programs and tools that amplify human creativity, prioritize authentic interaction, and keep communities in control of the systems they rely on.
